Do concept or environment artists have to study some Architecture?


Most games’ (also films) Environments have a lot of buildings, streets, bridges, tables, chairs,… yet environment modeling online courses (on websites like: pluralsight, Gnomon workshop,…) are software or project based courses.

As an environment artist (or a student)
- how do you manage through this?
-Do studios hire an architecture engineer for big projects?
-what courses, books do you recommend for beginners’?
