Display Tag R21

I must be doing something wrong but all of a sudden the display tag doesn’t work in R21?
I added a display tag via Render Tags/Display but no matter what I do, there’s no change in the viewport:

Clearly, something changed in R21 and I don’t know what.
Could someone shed some light on this?

Press Shift+V and in Display tab check if enabled option “Display Tags”

Thanks! I’ve had that problem before!

. as an aside in the shift+V Filter tab ( and the menu drop down) … why the hell isn’t it in alphabetical order?! Or grouped at least.

I don’t remember this step necessary in previous versions and, above all, I don’t think I switched it off. Is it off by default? That would be strange…
