kind of an abstract dinner. The idea came from an Apophysis render (the mid right dishes pattern). Then I modeled a dishes set in Lightwave and created a scene where polygons (try to) fit the Apo image quadruplicated in Photoshop. Additional polygons (the flower and the balls) added in Lightwave too. Central glow is from a Nasa image of a stellar cluster. But I could do it with a volumetric light too.
Not so abstract. It has an heavy visual component too. But it is digital by an inspiration and by a realization point ov view.
Hope you don’t totally disagree
dishes
thats what I am talking about, LAV! integrate apophysis with other programs…! its a tool…not a destination!
keep going!
Delicious. A four course dinner of galactic proportions consisting of nebula, galaxies etc.
Served hot or cold?
Bravo.
Cheers,
Chris
P.S. What do you teach?
Many thanks guys!
@aadams: I agree, in every words. So intriguing and satisfying to use ‘fractals’ as they really are: the geometry of nature, of the reality.
@Mettle: don’t know if hot or cold. I’ll have to taste it yet. I feel a subtle breeze all around, anyway.
I teach Italian literature and History in an italian high school (14 to 19 years old).
@tonare and all: happy to see you like the image. Good luck to everybody.
The color composition is really comfortable and elegant
Btw, Apophysis is a swelling of a spore, right?
yes. But even ‘a bony protuberance, in human physiology’ (WIKI)
I guess that ‘spores’ is more relevant
