Digital Painting - Woman (mild nudity)

#1

Hello.

First: Sorry for my bad English.

This is the second digital painting I finished completly. It was first thougt as a one-day-practice but then decided to finish it. I know that there are still lots of parts wich could have been done better. But I am new to digital painting and pleased with myself. :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s done in Photoshop 7.

For those who are interested in my progress I made this picture.

I hope I can get some more feedback than for the last picture I posted here

Edit:

Here’s the Update:

Too right you should be pleased with yourself… beautiful piece.
Is it drawn from refrence pics? If not then well done for getting 2 point lighting done so perfectly.

Really cant pick holes in anything…fantastic work. :applause:

#3

Yes, it is drawn from a reference pic. I still have a lot to do to be able to create pics like that without a reference pic ;).

Wow !! Very nice…
I like it a lot!

The sepia colors are well choiced !!

The soft brush you have used give a too blur render.
It’s a shame cause there is a lot of potencial in this picture.

What will be cool to have is more details on the skin which is too blury. Perhaps try to apply a noise filter.

Anyway, Really nice values !!!
:applause:

Hi Pierrick … thanks for your comment.

I will try to use your idea with the noise filter even though I don’t know how, yet.

#6

Very nice job!

But pleazzze, get away from the airbrush look.
Try some harder edges and sharper outlines.
Shading itself is near perfect. So why messing around
with those edges?

Anyway great work.
and nice step by step

Very beautiful! Sure would love to know the colors used for the skin tone. I always mess up there.

I’ve seen such a picture in the WIP forum.
was the WIP one yours?
this one looks great
i like the hair of the woman :stuck_out_tongue:

#9

Hi cr0ss

I didn’t post it in the WIP section

Perhaps someone used the same reference pic as I did. I think it’s well known even though I just had a black and white version :hmm:

#10

Thanks ashwin_m

Sorry for posting in this thread once again but I wanted to show my little update. I tried to add some detail on the skin. I think it doesn’t look that blurry anymore but the colors have cahnged, too. I’m not sure if I put enough details on the skin or perhaps even too much …

I edited my first post in this thread and showed it up there but you can follow this link, too.
