Digital Painting: Phoenix Tears

Ar, it’s been a while! I thought I’d drop by with one of my newer (though not newest!) pieces.

“Phoenix Tears”
The phoenix cannot heal herself, she can only take the pains of others until she dies, and then is reborn.

I hope y’all enjoy, I feel like I’ve really been improving in the past few months, which is always a plus. :slight_smile: Oh yeah, people always ask me this and I always forget to put it in the first post - done in Painter Classic with an old, old Wacom tablet.

As always, critiques are appreciated.

Heyy! great job wit this piece! it looks great…only thing is the main plant stem is kinda hard to see…n i fink ya dint spend tt much time on the BG either eh? ;p But its kewl! dunno y theres no comments on ur piece…

You have spent some time on lights I can see and it looks good!
What would improve your work to just nudge it to the best is prolly amongst other things, composition.
It feels so wrong that the tailfeathers are cut of.

Otherwise, great work!

Only crits is the sky behind… I would like to se it more detailed, like S. Stahlberg!
