This is probably my first thread here. My names Ivan and I’m living in Japan for a bit. It gets pretty cold where I live in the winter so I thought I’d lug my 'puter over from the states (really just North Carolina) and get to work on some projects while I was snowed in. I’ve been visiting on and off for a bit and to say that I’m impressed by the work here just doesn’t say enough. Anyway, I hope that I can contribute something someday to somebody on the site. And it’s nice to be here. I hope I see yall around.

Where are you in Japan? I spent a year in Sasabo and it didn’t get cold for the whole year. I loved it there! You up in Hokkido?
I’m in the prefecture just south of Hokkaido. Still snows like nobodys business up here. The only American military base I know of up here in Aomori is Misawa, though I think it’s an Air Force Base. I still love it up here though. Loads of skiing to be had in the winter and really mild summers.
I love the Japanese countryside. Sasabo was both tropical and beautiful. Never made too far north though. I flew through Kadena and got to stay there a couple of days. Too crowed for my blood. Sasabo was just right.
I came here to learn Japanese and study at a University at first. It was a lot of fun so I stayed
