in the uk it is common to have car service manuals, published by Haynes
there are different manuals available for different cars, and they are designed as a guide to things like replacing the gearbox or exhaust, etc, so have lots of step by step diagrams.
i’m not sure if the diagrams would be photos or line drawings or both.
