Desert Eagle

I posted this in teh 3D WIP forum already but i got a tip to post it in here, because id probly get better answers,
ive been doing 3D with wings for like 2 months now nad im still a big newb, but my main question right now is for this Desert Eagle is where to make hard edges, im using 3 diffrent ref pictures which i got of the internet, well here we go.

were you using a reference picture? As of now that gun is way too blocky. How could anyone even hold such a gun with that grip and trigger?

Edit: oh ok you mentioned you have ref pictures, do you have a ref of the front side of the gun so you can define its shape?

The Desert Eagle has…

…Search google Images…

…a few features that stand out from other pistols.

  • One, the Tigger housing is more blocky than others.

  • Two, the grip should slant back farther.

  • Three, the trigger/ hand portion has a hull as long as the barrel but thinner.

The best thing to do is actually bring in your Reference Image on the x-axis (RMB>Image Plane), and block it out from there in wireframe mode(W).

Keep tweaking…good start
