It’d be useful to know what you are shading. Is it geometry? Fumefx? Afterburn? Particles?

#3

it is fumefx shading and I have very close up shot…

@solitude: If u have to create a shot in which u need to create snow trail effects while snowboarding. what will be ur way?

#4

Solitude doesn’t play on snow he rides motorcycles

Hey, mister… I’ve been snowboarding before! (been a long time though) oh yeah, and not anymore. motorcycle has been sitting in my driveway for 5 months. (vancouver = pointless to have a motorcycle)

I’d use fume if at all possible too… just need dense smoke and a lot of detail. Multiple Scattering will help a ton with the look… do you have a screenshot of what you’ve got?

#6

I uploaded two images… its the same simulation with different camera angle…

You need to lower the spacing, and increase the density of the smoke a bit (either in the render settings, or at the source)… then you should be able to pull some detail out of it… that’s a very low resolution sim you got there. Also, make sure your light is set up well… use a direct light with a higher detail shadow map, or you can use raytraced shadows if the render time isn’t too bad.

^I concur

Bummer, may I ask why? Too much rain?

#9

Too much rain, usually too cold, nowhere to park unless I get up at the crack of dawn, and no lane ‘sharing’ (going in between the cars is legal in california).

Summer’s coming  Grad a big patch of red material (something that appears like red paint) and put it on the curb when you leave work one night, ride your bike in the next day, park in front of said red material, remove, store in desk until you leave again
