delivering finished movies

i recently directed my first project, i was wondering how files are commonly delivered? when working on 3d projects i sometimes have to transfer gigs of files but in this case it would be ridiculous. also it wont fit on a dvd. do you just buy external hard drive and fed ex that?

if it’s a tv station it’s usualy deliverd on digibeta

… but why not just ask the places you’re delivering to ?

they dont know anything. i just zipped an uncompressed file and burned it on a dvd.
