Hi there,
I’ve hit a bit of a modeling roadblock. The situation is that I have two OBJ files: One of just my character’s body, and another one with that same character’s body except with clothes on. I’m wondering if there was an easy way to separate just the character’s clothes from the second model into its own separate mesh. Note that the geometry of the two models are identical, except the second model has the clothes protruding.
I figured at first I could do this by selecting the first model, dragging it into the place of the second model, and then doing an inverse selection to select just the clothing vertices, but of course this just selects the entire other object. I tried grouping them too to no avail. I’m out of ideas! Is there maybe a way to transfer selection of the first object to the second object so it just selects the body pieces of the second object and can therefore do an inverse selection to select just the clothes? Or would I have to do this by hand? It is quite a large number of polygons, so I would rather not do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
