Dawn scene

My first post here… I’ve been on Simply Maya for a while and this site comes highly reccomended, and I can see why.

Anyway, this image is a scene in a personal movie project. I wanted to evoke the feeling of the very last night hours when it gets that crisp bluish light but the sun’s glow has yet to be visible. I am also trying to add an element of complete stillness and lack of movement to create tension before a huge one-on-one confrontation type fight.

The modelling is basically done except for a few details- as you can probably tell I’m going for the detail-through-photos approach as I only have a limited amount of time to work on this. where ( I think) I really need crits is on the overall composition and lighting… I think the crisp dawn feeling is there, but the stillness and tension are missing.

Oh sorry! I didn’t know you had to be a member to view that. does anyone know of a free hosting service that actually works reliably?
