Dark Alley, Christopher Rabenhorst (2D)

Title: Dark Alley
Name: Christopher Rabenhorst
Country: Denmark
Software: Photoshop

Hi, here’s a quick environment design I did. I wanted to capture this eerie dark alley at night time in an old medieval town with the mist coming in. I wanted to contrast the cold blue exterior and the pale moon light with the warm glow of the inside. It should make you wanna stay indoors and not venture outside in fear of what could be lurking in the shadows. I hope that is the feeling you get.

It just started as a sketch but I quite enjoyed it and spend some more time on it. 4-5 hours in photoshop. Hope you enjoy it too and get the chills

Very nice! Good atmosphere. My only crit is that I believe the lighting coming from the windows and the houses do not reach far enough into the scene, they don’t provide much lighting for it yet it looks like they could.

Keep em coming!

The light´s great but perhaps I shouldn´t show the moon light over the sky so directly. I´d insinuate it. Anyway, 4 bucks from me!
