Daily Speedpainting

#361

So this is my last posting before my vacation. Thisfore I decided to do this step by step. Don’t know if anybody cares though. (70 Minutes)

#362

Whoa, great.
Your paintings, especially this one, have a pretty strong consitency of brushwork and detail.
And if you like, you can post your step by step work into this thread.

WOW! Great work guys!

Ted, thank you for sharing your work in progress with us!

That pic wasn’t easy. I had to play a lot with colours. So many colors in it…

Took me around 80-90 minutes.

#364

#365

Hectorlp, I really like your frog! You caught the right colors. I guess you just need some kind of textures on the frog and he’ll looks great. Keep it on!

#366

Okay, this is the little task for today.

Draw or paint the guy from behind. : )

#367

Okay, guys… don’t laugh… it’s the ultimate kicker! lol

Had a lot of problems as you can see.

#368

Hi guys,

I d like to join and enjoy your speedpainting forum, i am quite new in digital painting, i do little bit VFX, and i ve been study compositing in ESC studios, so i wanna get some painting skills and then use them maybe for mattepaintings in future

I am attaching 2 pics (i spent appr. 2 hours on each one) and i wanna carry on with u…sometimes i am busy , cause of study , but i hope ll find some time for this great topic

any comments and feedbacks are welcome !

and i d like ask anyone…how can i attach pics, here, in full size , without thumbnails…

hi man! i´m also new here, i started a few days ago, if you want to attach pictures at full size, you should upload them to a server, such as www.imageshack.us or a similar web, i recommend www.photobucket.com then you copy the link and paste it here in between this code:
[IMG ]here the link[/IMG ] without spaces.

Another thing, i have been busy this days so i couldnt practice, in few days i think i will have finished my frog.

cheers:applause:

Hi, Keacy and welcome to this thread. : )

Your frog looks good. I like that your frog has this kind of wet looking skin. It looks realistic. Very nice painting.

The girl seems a bit out of proportion. The upper part of the body is out of proportion. Means that she is too long. The head is too small and her fist in foreground is big as well. The wrinkles on her hip doesn’t look like wrinkles, they look just like lines. The fist in background looks good.

Keep it up, Keacy! Wanna see more from you, if you can! : ))

This is the picture for today. Hope you enjoy.

#371

My attempt. Took me around 30 mins.

#372

Old looking bonsai.

#373

well, the good bonsai isn’t easy to paint. a lot of problems. didn’t know how to convert all these fine patterns on that tree. what kind of brush should i use? how would you paint that bonsai? any suggestions?

here is my attempt.

#374

Just found this thread, so the point is to copy the photos right? Here is my attempt with the bonzai tree, took about 50 min.

#375

Hi Rapid,
and welcome on board!

Your painting looks very nice. It’s very interesting to see how you interpreted and painted these fine patterns on the tree as well on the basin.
Good work! Like it alot.

#376

Hey guys,

you’re welcome to take part in this little task if you like. Here it comes…

Draw or paint this figure with a drapery or cloth around the arm and think about how the rest of the drapery could be attached on the body of the figure.

#377

Hi guys,
this my little attempt of bonsai…its quit tricky picture… so any comments are welcome

#378

Hi Keacy!

Your bottom of the basin looks a bit too flat. Could be more rounded. The colors look a bit too grayish. I think some warm colours could do a lot. Maybe a few highlights as well as shadows on some areas to get more the feeling of deep.

#379

hi,

yea, i see, its too de-satured, , but on my Mac monitor, was much better color space…better fresh colors, probably i ve got settings of color temperature more for video and vfx than painting and photoshop,…i can see it now on PC monitor. i have to have a look and check that

This is a nice smooth reference for today. In my opinion the composition is not so complicated…
