custom brushes freezes a lot

thanks for looking at this, photoshop is constantly freezing on me when i make my own custom brushes. im trying to paint some hair. i make the brushes small 128 pixels and i have a lot of spacing also. so what else could i do to avoid freezes? i also have a very fast computer, so processing or ram isnt the problem. Thanks for any help.

There is a bug in Photoshop, especially in CS3, that causes this. It’s particularly likely to happen if you’re using Angle Jitter in the brush. There isn’t really any foolproof way to avoid it; just try not to paint too rapidly, and save regularly.
