Cubeland prepares for Peak Oil

Having learned about our impending energy decline I did a series of animations featuring Cubeland and its renewable energy. At a number of rave events where these visuals were featured Cubeland was juxtaposed against footage I shot of oil pumps in their urban decay. Soon after I stopped doing rave visuals and returned to Hollywood to save money for my solar powered render farm.

I really like this and the other one. I like the idea and the colors.

What application did you use for this? And are those all extruded cubes or did you also use displacement maps?
