Crystal Dynamics is looking for experienced and supremely talented artists to join its staff on an unannounced next-generation title at its studio in Menlo Park at the heart of northern California’s Silicon Valley.

Title Description

The Object Artist is responsible for creating and maintaining all the game objects used in the game. Furthermore, the Object Artist is required to assist and manage the integration of assets created off-site ensuring that they meet the required specifications, are at or above our quality standards and are bug-free from an implementation standpoint.

Essential skills

[li]Experience with Maya required.
[/li][li]Demonstrate an ability to work with multiple disciplines to meet project’s specific needs needs.
[/li][li]Capable of working both as a member of a development team and individually with minimum supervision.
[/li][li]Work with studio Creative Services department to liaise between external resources to meet the needs of individual projects within the studio.
[/li][li]Oversee and implement assets provided by outsourcing partners to ensure clean pipelines, high levels of quality and efficiency.
[/li][li]Act as the bridge between the Art Director and the outsourcing partner’s main contact to ensure smooth, frequent communication.
[/li][li]Assist the studio in the development of outsourcing pipeline and efficiency improvements.
[/li][li]Ability to work well within a team environment.
[/li][li]Must have the ability to conceptualize, present, and execute ideas within a schedule, while actively participating in technical and artistic problem solving.
[/li][li]Successful team members are able to quickly understand custom toolsets and deliver assets within the confines of real time engine constraints and programming demands.
[/li][li]Develop the ability to teach and be taught.
[/li][li]Demonstrate an organized approach to problem solving and time-management.
[/li][li]The desire to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
[/li][li]Self motivated individual.
[/li][li]Evaluate and initiate processes and features needed to improve and streamline production. Must have the ability to meet strict production deadlines.

[/li][li]Must be current on industry trends as it relates to art production and development.
[/li][li]Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

[li]College degree a plus.
[/li][li]Next-generation development experience.
[/li][li]Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
[/li][li]Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes.
