Crasfi's Infinite Corner

#1

Finally decided to share my works, I’ll be dumping everything here in this Infinity corner
I am fairly new to 3D Modelling and this here will be my first high-res game ready character. I am in the sculpting phase, and plan to sculpt his body and then retopo him, I’m also in dire need of some critiques, Thanks

WIP

#2

Sculpted a shirt for the guy not too long ago, as always critiques welcomed

#3

Here’s another update,
Worked in some gloves, fairly happy with the guy looking early 40’s. I’m thinking he’s had some police training, vest needs a lot more deets and his gloves too

Blocking out the pants

You have some anatomy problems on your head and neck. It’s lumpy, the proportions are a little strange and the musculature doesn’t quite work. Do a google image search on human facial planes to help you get the basic planes and proportions blocked out, and once you’ve done that, then you go in and do the muscle detailing.

Totally on that now, thanks for the advice! Stay tuned for my changes

You’ve made the classic beginner sculpting mistake of adding pores/wrinkles/etc before you have any of the primary form in place.

As it is there isn’t one area on the head that dosn’t look off.

You need to step way down in resolution and nail the proportions/forms/gestures at a very low polycount before going any further.(I can’t stress this enough as extremely vital to progression)

The anatomy of the head is very complex and requires a decent understanding of proportions/forms/gestures/planes if you intend to sculpt it.

As Leigh advised: study anatomy!! It is completely symbiotic with creature/character sculpting.

Learning the software/tools is the easy part.

I like the face, it’s looking like some kind of monster (a mutant maybe, or a phase of mutation from a human to a monster), it is perhaps because of the anatomy issues as others pointed out, but I as a pure amateur actually like that “wierdness”.

#9

Yeah, I’m an amateur, and was quite happy with the anatomy of the head thus far so I thought I’d take it to the next step. I know now that it’s anatomically, and proportionally wrong now so I’ll work on fixing it.

First stage of Lycanthrope lol

Welcome back to the Infinity Corner, I’ve been gone for quite some time, no doubt I’ve been practicing my sculpting. Studied a little bit more anatomy, and now I’m back to post up some more of my works! Currently working on this, as usual WIP

I call it, Pissed off Mage

Will probably end up redoing the cowl, just wanted something to throw on to visualize my final idea, As usual critique away!!
