Corrupt animation previews

#1

Hi All,

Just started back on messiah after a break. Forgotten how much fun it is! Anyhow, I’m having difficulties with previews, they seem to create ok but when they are played back, they’re all corrupted (really elongated horizontally).

Anyone else get this? Know a fix?

What format are you saving in? Codec?

#3

I have had this problem when the codec i use doesn’t like that size of the preview. Try changing the size of the window when you do the preview or change the codec.

Ok, feeling kinda dumb here - I’m just recording and playing the preview from within messiah - I assumed it used an internal codec? If this isn’t the case, where do I choose the codec from?

#5

That shouldn’t give you any problems. What kind of video card are you using?

#6

nVidia Quadro FX4500. I’ve had this on an older card too - a Quadro 900XGL…

the codecs are all variably sensitive to window sizes according to what matrix they compress by… I just stick to cinepak.

He is having problems with the internal previewer David. Not the rendered out stuff. I remember this happening to me once but I can’t remember how I fixed it. I think it was somethign to do with my drivers.
