Cool features video

#1

I did a 6 minute video showing off some of the cool features of the CGPortfolio - the networking, Google Earth integration, fan clubs, etc.

Way cool, Leo! :slight_smile: That’s very helpful, thanks! I do hope no one comes ringing to that copse of trees off of 495! :smiley:

Great job. :slight_smile:

Cheers,

Haha “nice picture of Steven” :smiley: That Google Earth tie-in is pretty cool, but I fear that Rebecca may find her house being swamped with stalkers who now know where she lives :eek:

#4

Leigh,

LMAO, I think I may have successfully led my (one) stalker to a convenient place (certainly not my house) in a generic area of Washington. :smiley:

Cheers, :slight_smile:

#5

damn - there go my plans to visite you Becca :frowning:

#6

Yeah, I think the best suggestion is to put the marker over your local post-office, or something close-ish to where you live rather than slap bang on your house :slight_smile:

#7

Natascha,

Hey, you can still come visit me! :smiley: Though, in truth, I think Greece / Switzerland are much more exciting places than some unknown unrevealed super secret unidentified place somewhere near Washington, D.C! :smiley:

Cheers, :slight_smile:

#8

LOL that wouldn’t do me much good since I live literally next door to the towns post office :smiley:

#9

Actually, so do I, but you don’t have to tell people that is the point :slight_smile:

#10

I can’t even go past the satellit view for Greece…wouldn’t it be easier to have a longitude/attitude thing?
It seems a lot of Europe is not even mapped in google. (Or I am just too stupid to find out how to do it right :/)

#11

greece has coverage just zoom out a bit, all of greece seems visible when you’re on the 6th level of zoom, some areas might have more coverage than other’s (likely around cities)

Yeah, I’ll work on other ways to input your location, I chose google local, because joe-average doesn’t know what their longitude and latitude is;

You CAN however if you happen to know such things, enter them by hand, if you know what the url looks like.

it needs to look something like:

ll=<longitude>,<latitude>

#12

Latitude of Greece: 39º00´ North of the Equator. Longitude of Greece: 22º 00´East of Greenwich

:bounce:

#13

They need to be entered as a decimal value to work;

the link:

http://local.google.com/local?f=q&hl=en&q=athens+greece&ll=37.98561,23.730125&spn=0.136109,0.348473&t=k

will put you in athens
