im building a texture map of a construction sign, its using 3 layers. first is a base metal, second is the paint, third is dirt. what i do is use ‘layer styles>blend options’ to create a wear effect. for example, i tweak the ‘underlying layer’ values to let the base metal below create transparency in the paint layer above.
my question is, is there a way to capture the transparency created by the blend options in an alpha map?
