Connecting parameters

Hey all!

I have an issue and I hope that someone can help. I want to be able to copy keyframes from one layer’s scale paramater onto a shape layer’s size parameter.

I get an error message whenever I try to do this:

“After Effects error: can’t paste from 3 dimension(s) to 2”

I was thinking that maybe someone would know a work around. I thought about connecting the scale and size parameters with an expression, but I need the end result of the shapes size parameter to be keyframes. So unless there is a way to connect the nulls scale to the shape’s size and then “bake out” the results so that the shape has keyframes in the timeline, then I can’t do it with an expression. Any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it!

Animation --> Keyframe Assistants --> Expressions to Keyframes. So yes, the answer is expressions.
