conceptcar no.2

#1

Hi, I’m new in this forum and I saw some really impressive 3d works…
so I decided to present a own work…

I’ve created the design for my conceptcar, the model is made with 3ds max and the rendering with brazil… additional 2d work is made with corel…

great start! nice concept too. you are getting some compression artifacts, though, which I guess is because you are posting a huuuge image. i would chop it into sections and compress them individually for best quality. would make it easier to see everything too. nice work!

ps. welcome to the board

thx for comment! I’m glad to find such a high level 3d board…

the original picture is much bigger and without compression, because I printed a huge poster of it… 140*20 cm

I’m wondering why I get nearly no replies… Are there any problems with the link? or is my work to bad? You can also post negativ feedbacks…

the link works fine. I like the modelling very much. If you wanted something to work on, I think it’d have to be the textures as they are a tad bit bland. For a different look, add some spec on the black and red, and a little reflection. I’m not familiar with max, but if they are like alias, they might have a car paint sample shader on their website? Try searching for one just for a couple ideas. But coo anywho.

I really like the design of this car. It looks like a future version of the Honda NSX (Acura).

But i can agree on the carpaint it need some more work. And i think the edges are to razor sharp at many places.

thx for comments… I’m not absolutely satisfied with the rendering too… but I try to learn to make more realistic renders…

was this concept just meant to be practice and fun or are there other purposes?

I think it’s rather nice, but the front is too much like the smart roadster.

I thougt it to be a big sportscar like the jaguar xj220… just for fun
You’re right the front is a bit similar to the front of the smart roadster… I noticed it afterwards,
but I didn’t want to change it…
