Hey it might be a silly question but please answer my query because i’m really confuse about this.

Can a roto artist apply for composting job ??

Roto is just a part of what a compositor does. At most studios, roto is the entry position where you can begin building up experience, working your way up to being a compositor.
You need to have the compositing skills (and reel) to apply for the role.
