Okay, tried every composting material that is available on 3ds Max such as Blend, Composite and Shellac. But none of them has a functionality like the Composite Texture that have a lot of option for blending. So is there any plugin for this that supports MR and Vray?
I’m not sure that’s really possible is it? At least, not in a predictable way. If you screened a brick material over a glass material, what would happen? Would the glass suddenly be opaque, or would the brick be refractive etc? I’m not sure it could work because a material is a whole sum of the maps that are put into it.
Of course, you can use the composite map on each of the individual input maps (with masks if need be) to effectively do the same thing, just at a map level.
