Actually Richard…there’s two! What you haven’t seen yet is a sister plugin that comes with Swage called Runline.
More on that a little later.
Sneak peak of some of Swage’s interface. Here yah go:

You’ll find all kinds of goodies in here. Scale profile along a path, rotate profile along the path, bevel controls, internal profile presets, offsetting, capping, profile morphing (not shown), smoothing controls and path and profile ranges, and Runline (not shown) Combine this tool with Braider or Trestle and you’ve got serious modeling power. Utilize it with Path2Line and you get bezier shaping capabiliities.
I’ve been a little distant trying to catch some work up but thought I’d throw my 2 cents in…and then take off.
The interface and tools within Swage are very well thought out and pretty much do everything you might want them to do. This pluggin has become a ‘favorite’ of mine as it allows me to try so many variables on the fly…combined with some of the other geometry pluggins it opens things up tremendously.

Not everything can be seen here. There’s a Trestle profile curve and a bezier spline you’re not seeing. I’m working up a product video tour for Swage too. I want to have it available before the plugin goes on sale. Should help to clear things up for those interested in the plugin.
Your videos are great! Got me up to speed with Trestle in no time. I think it will be important for Swage to have one - while it is simple to use and straight-forward, there ‘is’ a lot there.

The picture is one of the best i saw for a plug-in electronic flyer (from a graphic design and from a 3d rendering point of view). A bravo to Guet-Apens for it’s quality. I think the plug-in will have the same quality.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. Swage is a very nice addition to the EIAS little world. It is very powerful. Animated capabilities are great too (all parts can be animated), plus it takes care of UV coordinates, which is great for the rope picture we have done.
Good for broadcast, good for illustrative works, good for me, good for you, all simply good.

It shouldn’t be too much longer before we release the product. However, we have a few more things to do before its ready. Gotta work up a video tour for it, complete the manual, and perhaps release one last beta. But it wont be long. 
Just playing around with Swage…its very easy to “Braid” extrusions together to get rope like objects with true geometry rather than UV’s texture alternatives.

Yes, I guess I should.
I created the type (Rope and Cable) in EIM using the bezier toolset…I could have used ‘path to line’ right in EI but am more comfortable in EIM.
Swage is wonderful to create geometry from curves so linked the ‘rope’ type to the pluggin.
I used Trestle to create the profile which would be extruded down that curve. I used the ‘super-star’ (I believe it’s called) to take a simple semi-circle and make a star with about 10 nobs/points on it.
Linked that to Swage - it gave me the basic geometry I wanted except for the twisted strands rope and cable has. There is a function in Swage with allows rotation of the profile so I rotated the Trestle profile many, many times down the extrusion…and there you go. Real geometry twisted rope.
It certainly could be fine tuned and perfected in my examples but wanted to see how to create those sort of things with Swage.
One cool thing is you can animate the extrusion and rotation so some very interesting effects are acheiveable.
