Combustion Crash

Combustion Crashes in explorer window while generating preview of movie files. Have you ever the same situation?

Maybe you are rendering to a filename used within your compositing? or using a weird Codec? or using Maya iff files?
It happens all the time wit Combustion.

Happens to me as well with my D:\ Drive. Only way I found around it was to switch out of Thumbnail view into list view inside of the browser. If you wanted to make a contribution to humanity and had a free minute you could, using the process of elimination, figure out which file codec causes C4 to crash.

My experience was that wmv and divx files cause the crash in the thumbnail brower.

so…how to open them (video files)?
in list view, when i select e.g. avi, preview is generated :{

This is going to sound dumb but… have you tried double clicking? I’ve found that it takes a second or two to crash so you if you just double click, it loads it fast enough that the preview is never created.
