combustion crash

Hi,
My combustion crashed as soon as i load some heavy particle in my scene. Can anyone tell me what can be the reason for this. I have a Intel Pentium 4, 2.66 Ghz processor, 865 GBF Intel motherboard, 2.23 Gb RAM and Intel Extreme Graphics 2 graphic card.

Try turning on “use software opengl” in the preferences.
Your card is an onboard graphic chip or not?

for some notes about open gl cards with combustion.

You need at least a geforce card. A better performance you get from a workstation graphics card like quadro fx or fire gl.

did you change the preference´s caching???

Hi,

All the settings are kept to default.

file, preference, there you can find the caching setting, tath is the number of ram combustion will use, make it 87%, because windows needs ram too.
