Combining mental ray contour shaders


I need to combine two or more mental ray contour shaders for my rendering network. For example the depth_fade with light_direction. I’m aware that there is a combination shader but it doesn’t suit me. My question is how to combine the output of these two shaders, i tried multiplying the outputs with no result. Any sugestions?
