Colourcode 3d effect

Hey!

I’m looking into replicating the ColourCode 3d effect using after effects. I think its fairly simple, so far I have used set channels on each a left and right eye comp, and instead of having

Left Eye = R Right Eye BG

I use …

Left Eye RG Right Eye B

The effect works fairly well but there are some definite ghosting issues and I don’t feel I’m there yet. I wondered whether anyone else has attempted something like this in after effects and if they have any pointers/tips?

I know the easiest thing would be to buy the software but unfortunately I’m not in the financial position.
