Hey all,
I am now photoshopping for about a year, but I always get stuck at one point: The colors. Which colors should I pick? Should I add some more contrast? Is the balance good this way? I can’t always figur out what is the best looking. My question is: does someone have a website for me or some general rules for choosing a colour scheme?

This is a good website for feedback. In the WIP 2D section.
I wrote a script that lets you strip color from an existing image, and be able to analyze that layer separately from the light/dark shading elements.
It might help you for a bit, to dissect existing photographs, paintings, etc and be able to see clearly how they deal with color. Check below for the link.

The 2D WIP section looks awesome, but I am more looking for images that are not made with a pencil or only a brush (things like photo effects, text effects, designing etc). If you know what I mean 
Ah, cool. I don’t believe there is anything wrong with those kinds of digital images in the 2D WIP/Crit forum here, however your right, you’d be just about the only person posting images of that nature here.
