ColorCorrect v3.4.100 is out (with 2012 support)

Released ColorCorrect v3.4.100 for
3ds max 2008
3ds max 2009
3ds max 2010
3ds max 2011
3ds max 2012 (!)

This version should fix the issue where 3ds max process was not terminating upon exit. Please let me know if you still see this issue (or others).

Thanks for the update and the 2012 version, can’t live without this plugin.

However, the max 2012 version (64bits) is having problems here.
I have this simple setup:

Output map
|
> ColorCorrect
|
> Bitmap (HDR image)

When going into the ColorCorrect map max will freeze on building the map’s UI almost everytime. Happens with the old material editor and seems to be reproducible. Didn’t do any tests with Slate.

I’ll have to test whether it’s happening only with this scene/map and will send you a file if it’s really reproducible without giving away the whole scene.

I wonder how to install it on 2011 and 2012 at the same time?
When I launch the installer, it request to uninstall the existing version.

what are the benefits of this colour correct over the one shipping with 3dsmax?
sorry for the dumb question but i coudln’t find it :slight_smile:

The one shipping with max is a bit awkward to work with and the one posted here gives you way more control. Besides that the saturation function did not work properly in max 2010 and 2011, luckily it was fixed in 2012. And, unfortunately, it doesn’t handle hdr images properly, see this thread. So plenty of reasons to avoid using the one shipping with max.

Actually, it still appears to be broken, at least at fixing the test I outlined on my site in the cg wishlist section.
