In addition to adobe creative cloud, we’ve been using lightweight image viewers like irfanview and faststone to quickly compare images and do batch processing. But this has led to huge problems with maintaining consistent color profiles. These small programs strip images of their color profile metadata, which causes mayhem down the pipeline. Sometimes, files without ICC have been delivered to clients which got us in unnescessary trouble. The developers claim their software handles color profiles, but that is simply not true.
Is there a fast and lean image viewer out there that fully supports ICC profiles? Bridge is too clunky to be an option, as is workarounds such as using droplets to reapply color profiles after files have been batched.
