Cinema 4D? Yep...

Before I manage to irritate everyone with my post here, allow me to explain. I have been an EI user for about ten years now and have been quite happy with it, as have my clients. Functionality, quality and speed have all been welcome and applauded elements of working with EI. So why the C4D topic? Well, I’ll tell ya…

The very cool and laid back TV station that currently employs me has had C4D for quite some time and learning it just makes a good deal of sense. Electric Image and After Effects: Function Curves where Position and Velocity are separate elements that can be controlled independently. But this does not seem to be the case with C4D. Velocity seems to depend on the control handles of the position curve, which alters the shape of the path. Please, what am I missing?

I have posted this in the C4D section and am doing so here as well because I remember the C4D thread here was more useful to me than just about anything I could find on the C4D boards.

Also, I can’t wait to get V7, I’ll probably end up using it for the project headed my way next week.

As far as i know EIAS is the only one package i have used in animation that has this feature.
I may be wrong and as i haven’t really used extensively Maya or XSI those apps probably have something like this, but EIAS is the only i’ve been using so far that let you act on the velocity curve without touching the path in itself.

Hope you’ll find a workaround or that someone will be able to help with a “secret feature”, but i doubt you’ll find that possibility in C4D.

Cheers,
