Cinema 4D black screen crashing / restarting PC constantly

HI all,

So I’ve been having issues using Cinema 4d recently, throughout the day I will experience black screen crashes where my computer will reboot while using the software. I’m using Redshift.

I’ve had IT technicians check the health of my PC and it’s completely fine, I’ve also run multiple stress tests on the PC and it’s performance is running perfectly.

I’ve run out of ideas on how to solve these crashes, it only happens when I’m using cinema 4D, never with unreal engine etc

I’m hoping someone might have had this experience or can give me some support

Cinema or Redshift might trigger the issue, but they can’t cause the system crash. The OS and drivers isolate any app to the point that this can’t happen.
It is likely either a driver issue or that a specific condition leads to a hardware issue being triggered. In the past i encountered issues similar to this with faulty memory.

By ‘faulty memory’ I suppose you mean a bad RAM chip?
If so, how were you able to deduce that this was the issue?

There are test tools for RAM hardware checks. It is not often an issue but if it is you often have a hard time nailing it down.
