Chopper WIP Update

#1

I have been working on my chopper for a while now and got some more stuff done for it.
The fenders are done, and the wheels are done. The rear wheel has a break disk on the right side, and the drive train ‘pully’ on the left (you can see that). The front wheel has the break disk on the left side. I started working on the primary belt. Gotta get the engine modeled, which is going to be REALLY hard to do, I cant find any good photos to work from. The rear wheel has treads, and I have them modeled on the front wheel, but I havent rendered that yet. Comments and suggestions are always welcome.

heres an update on my chopper. Added treads to the front tire. Im currently working on a gas tank and the hardware for that. Comments and suggestions welcome as always.

currently (when I smooth the wheels and the fenders) there are 38273 faces and 38370 viticies. I hope my laptop will be able to handle the poly count when I get everything modeled.

Hey! Looking good so far. But really, i don’t see the need for such a high poly count for the tires.

Could you post a wireframe?

Heres another update, I got the gas tank done.

You must have misunderstood me about the poly count. The current poly count was for the overall model, not just the wheels and fenders. Thats including EVERYTHING, the frame, wheels, forks and what not.

And here is the wireframe (unsmoothed and smoothed).

Ahh…My bad! Looks nice and clean. Nice mesh. Could you post a close up of the wheel?

It looks a little squarish right now, usually wheels will be rounded. Unless, that’s the effect you’re looking for.

Nice work so far!
