Choosing a monitor for content creation

#1

Hi folks,
I have two monitors, and on is an old Dell u2711b, which is nice for its time, but maybe a bit lacking in terms of contrast.
I also have 32’ Samsung S32D850T, and it has nice contrast, good for movies (I prefer it to my dell), a bigger diagonal, but colors look off. I compared it to my old dell, and was startled with how little samsung displays in terms of blue tints. There were definite gradations of disparate blue tints on dell.
And now I’m confused, as today we have wled panels, oled panels, which give impressive picture, but I’m not sure if they are suited for professional use. I’ve seen some oled panels on showrooms, and the picture was so bright it seemed almost painful. But it might be a matter of habit, and cranked up settings.
So which panel would you pick, and with what diagonal? Would you go for a safer bet IPS, or look into bigger oled/wled panels? Would you go over 40’?

Hello this is Gulshan Negi
Well, Depending on your particular requirements and preferences, you should select the appropriate panel type and size for professional use. For their excellent color reproduction and wide color gamut, IPS panels are typically recommended if color accuracy is important. However, OLED panels may be more susceptible to burn-in when used with static images, despite their superior contrast and deep blacks, which make them ideal for media consumption.
In order to get a firsthand understanding of the image quality, colors, and brightness, it’s best to personally evaluate various panel sizes and types in showrooms or stores. This will assist you with settling on an educated choice in view of your inclinations and expert prerequisites. Also, when choosing a monitor, think about your budget, connectivity options, and ergonomic features.
Thanks
