here is my latest picture. Its my contribution to the Cinema4D Portal “Gatekeeper” challenge.
Hope you like, I had really fun making it.

I appreciate each critique, bad or good

thats pretty cool. i like it! nice textures on the boot and loincloth. the only thing i find funny is the position he’s in.

heh heh chainmail loincloth…Ouch!!! heh heh.

cooL!.

but I would say the head stands out too much.
Perhaps apply the same skin to the head as the body?

yeah the pose looks unnatural for a fierce cave dwelling beastie, it looks more like a pussy cat purring  i would try to sort the hand thats making the gesture and it looks a little camp and maybe the eyes (make them squint) to make it look angry or fierce.
just my 2 pennies

Looks interesting, but is far too clean for cavelife. And he hasn’t got the ‘special’ look that makes him unique… needs some work in my eyes.

hi,

thanks for viewing and comments. I usally don’t make monsters and seem never

to get it right. they are just not fierce and scary enough. Maybe your are right

about the pose and the eyes. Anyway it was a good modeling experience.

Hi Bob! Hey, I like this creature very much. I’ve always found humanoid figure modeling to be very difficult. I think you’re doing a grand job with it. The one thing that stands out to me is the skin. The texture looks great with the exception of it looking a bit plasticy. All in all, very nice stuff.
