Freaking BEAUTIFUL!!!

Some of your topology is messing with my mind, but it looks like it’s smoothing okay… those ngons on the pectorils are really crazy (to my newbish eyes) but they seem to work out well anyway.

Keep it up logan, can’t wait to see more.

most excellent. that looks great. his ribcage is a bit mutilated and disturbing but it still is some great modeling.

One quick question: how are you getting the 0-level smoothed mesh like that on such a smooth surface? maybe i’ve missed a setting but i can only have that on the zero level mesh itself, without any smoothing operations.

#4

I believe that is just proxy mode smoothed preview with wireframe… shift+tab in recent releases.

#5

maybe its just the tinny resolution that he posted at, but when i do shift-tab for the smooth proxy in workmode, it looks fairly cruddy, at least in comparison to lightwave or something (and no i’m not whining, though i certainly wouldn’t mind a commercial level smoothing solution)

I just asked because i fooled myself into thinking that it had come along and i’d missed the multiple smoothing level option in some hidden menu.

Well alot of that “good looking smoothing” is directly due to the topology. Logan’s topology (based on past models) is top-notch imho.
