yea man amazing rig! Congratulations for it.
I was wondering how fast the rig performs. How many fps are you getting out of it with full animation on it?
Well done man and keep it up!

Seemoo, this speed issue is one I may would have to improve. With the high resolution model with all main and secondary deformations activated, and full animated, is playing around 6 fps
If we switch off the secondary deformations, that is, correction blendshapes and bending deformers, it plays around 13 fps.
With the low resolution body plus high resolution head (which I use most of the time) it plays aprox at 28 fps.
I’m using one Intel Xeon 3.00 GHz
PIXAR QUALITY!!
No question about it!
Be prepared to move to sunny CA soon ![]()
Just excellent!
Great job no doubt,go some questions :
Can you explain in detail how did you make the non-roll arm,the ik/fk switch and those full deformation controls?
Just please write it here in steps, that won’t take you more then 10 minutes for all …
Thanks
Just amazing!!!
I would love to lay my hands on so a supercool rig! It’s got great desing too. Very appealing. Your animation skills are equally impressive.
Did you use hypergraph’s nodes or mel scripting for the rig?
Did you model it on Maya or in ZBrush?
Great work!
Juan
Amazing reel, Victor.
I hope you work hard on the short film; I already want to see it ![]()
Five Stars!
[ give this guy an award! ]
We are kinda starting a project here in the studio so it would be nice of you to share how you made the ik/fk switch, the non-roll arm and the secondary controls.
Really impressive rig. Easy to follow interface with advanced hot menus. All in all nice work!
Would the rig interface and hot bars still work for another character?
Or is it character specific and you would need to redo it for next character (I guess not but)?
Why do i get the feel that you don’t want to share with us how you made the non-roll the ik/f switch and the secondary controls?
yangchen60, I think you’re being slightly unfair here.
He has been more than generous in answering questions in as much detail as he’s already gone into. Its up to you to take his work as inspiration to find your own solutions - unless you’re willing to pay him for his services?
You’re about to start a commercial project and you’re asking him basically to provide his hard work for free? Would you ask an animator to give you his animation, or a texture artist to send you his textures?
mattmos maybe i am wrong, but i don’t see any bad if he shares that with us.
Isn’t that the purpose of forums anyways?
Edit : If he makes a dvd i would be the first to buy it.This is fair i guess …
