character/fanart: rei ayanami from evangelion

this is a fanart. REI AYANAMI from evangelion.

done hand-painted. painted on gesso A2 size art paper.

medium used: acrylic/liquid acrylic, poster color, air brush, color pencils.

time used: about 1 week

This piece doesnt come out as i imagine it should be. Overall too dark in my opinion. wanted to put REI’s eva as background but couldnt find good reference. so i put in tokyo 3 instead.

the bird signify freedom, as REI is sort of a puppet for the commander in the show.

i did not follow the anime style. i drew her using my own style but with her characteristic, like blue hair, red eyes…etc
