hey i’d LOVE for some feed back on this thing. something’s not sitting right with me on it…but i didn’t want a ton of cliché post-apocalyptic destruction in the background, and actually this was just supposed to be a character design. u can leave the comments here or on my site. thanx. Here’s the older version before I touched it up.
something that might livin it up would be a backlight coming from the fires. not a whole lot but from the looks of the figures the surface would be somewhat reflective.
also the sky. the rising clouds of fire smoke and the angle of the grass create directional lines that lead you around the canvas. the clouds overhead throws that all out the window though. you might want to try either making a horizontal sky with cloulds to match the ground ,changing the angle of the cloud to match the rising smoke, or loose the cloud all together.
OK i updated it, i originally didn’t have any clouds but the sky looked so boring, i think it’s for the better that there are no clouds, just a little overcast atmosphere. thanx for the crits. hope i can get more.
