I'm working on a series of animated films that take place in the late 1960s early 1970s. Up to this point I have been using Plotagon Studio. I like the character creation style that Plotagon uses {because we need friendly and lifelike}. But Plotagon's build will no longer work for what I'm doing. Not sure if creating characters from scratch would work here because I'm sight-impaired. And it's painting/drawing with a cursor that I worry about...
So in terms of character creation and character animation I’m looking for a basic character creator with both hair and clothing that will work with both genders {because several of the characters in my films are young men with neat long hair…and for some reason…some character creation ware only has neat long hair for F characters}… And we need an appearance that is realistic enough for characters to be taken seriously. But not so realistic that they would be mistaken for live actors. I also need to be able to adjust a character’s height {because I have a 19 year-old male character in one of my projects that stands 4 feet and 8 inches and weighs 100 lbs}…
Some characters play musical instruments. {guitar....drums....piano...and violin to be specific}. So I will need the obvious hand and arm positions. Guitarists and violinists also need to be able to be shown at work in both standing and seated positions...
In terms of character poses. .One of the things that Plotagon is lacking in is a lifelike resting pose. I know that there are animation wares that have that. But it's an obvious.. Also looking for other basic upper-body gestures...
Also. Some of the characters in my films either use sign language or communicate in writing {for those using written communication use either pen and writing pad or chalk and slate}. Will need to have someone help create the needed poses/gestures for that. But will post on that later…
Anyway…
Any ideas?..
