hi !

this is my latest female-W.I.P christy - pls write some c&c’s
i know theres something to tweak like brows and lashes and the hair… but it would be nice if you write more about the geometry !

modeled and rendered with cinema 4d xl 7.3.

Hey, looks pretty good…I’d say that the geometry looks clean…and besides the shocked look on her face I say everything looks fine

You should post a wire if you want people to make more comments about the geometry.

#3

I’m surprised you haven’t had more responses. I agree you’ll have to post wire to get geometry feedback. We need more angles as well.

All I could really say from this would be to maybe take in the creases on the sides of the nose a bit more. Shape of the eyes is a little strange, perhaps add some more variation so that the eyelids actually look like they’re wrapping around a sphere not so smooth all the way across, looks like they’re being pulled on the sides; that’s kinda what makes her look surprised.

This is a pretty good piece so far. The texture is looking nice although obviously a bit symmetrical

I’d prefer a little thicker eyebrows, just my opinion.

looks good her eyes really let down ure work tho sadly. there way too white and not at all real, polish up here eyes a bit and uve a nice model there!

#5

Looks good, you can see the line between her face texture and the scalp…but im assuming your putting hair so that wont be visible…besides that it looks great.

#6

hey - thx for your c&s’s

here are some wires and renderings without textures and cameralightning - perhaps u now can criticize better

so pls make some c&cs. thx !

p.s. @ polyester: heheh - the texture isnt symetric, but theres a symetricalobject that flips the texture

#7

heres a little update of my christy-model -> write some c&c’s, pls ! :slight_smile:

(texture is still flipped; no lashes and the brows are still a bit crappy, too)

Neat model! Great texturing! Did you paint 'em yourself? There is a line running down the top of her forehead… that looks kinda strange. What kind of lighting did you use?

#9

the texture is a mixture of a photo and some painting and photoshopwork. the “strange” line is the end of the uv-map

i think the lighting has to be tuned ! atm there are only three lights: back-, fill- and keylight… what bugs me is that cinema 4d has no sss - so i cant get realistic looking skin ;/

Hmmm… I’ve never used SSS. Can it really make skin look realistic? I have seen 3D studio max’s SSS and that one didn’t look too good. G2 for lightwave is good, but I dunno… but I have never used it, so I wouldn’t know the full capabilities of it. Oh and the lighting set up does look odd, lol, but its better than mine
