Character: Asian woman

Hi, there!

I just modeled a head out of one of the finearts references.

Here are the latest renderings in chronological order.

The Textures are all hand-painted (6000x4000 pixels),
as there are color maps, bump maps, specular maps and
diffuse maps. For the Subsurface scattering look I used
the Plugin Chanlum from Happyship. All work done in
C4D and Photoshop.

At the moment I’m working at the texturing, the modeling
is done so far.

Second part will be the rest of the body but it’ll take
some time as I’m writing (and translating into English)
my C4D compendium parallel to the modeling work. The
compendium is a collection of tutorials for HDRI-construction, HDRI-faking, HDRI-photography,
Reconstruction of photographed environments,
differential rendering for seamless integration of
synthetic objects in photographic backgrounds etc.

Take a look:

nice job but kinda scary:surprised

I find the eyes too reflective on the 3 images.

The 2nd pic looks very strange, the hair don’t fit naturally over the skin. About the skin, the dot under seems too low-res or maybe you should add some bump and shininess.

The third pic is interesting, work again on this model, don’t give up, it could done something good.

keep it up

Hi, Albedo

I think the distance between the eyes is to big - rule of thumb says 1 eye length in between - yours is almost 1.5. You modelled the nose correct in relation to the eyes, but because they are not right, the nose is to broad.
Hope this helps - although it´s a little late in the process to go back and remodel parts.

Cheers

Asian eyes aren’t that bright. It’s more of a dark brown color. I do agree w/ “pit”, the eyes are too wide apart. I’m not sure about the freckles on her face. I don’t think asian people has that much freckles.

Hope this helps.

cheers:beer:
