Changing color of wireframe

Hello
I am little troubled by trying to find a way to change the color of my wireframe per object I made (like you can do with 3D Studio Max and Maya)
For me it would make so much easier to tell difference between one object and another.

Any help will be appreciated.

At the bottom left there’s a palette toolbar button. Click a color and pick the object.

If you want something different from the ones in that toolbar the colour is part of the display properties of each object.
That affects the unselected colour of a selectable object and, if the view is set to display it, the colour it will have in the explorer windows.
Selected or unselectable items have a shared colour that can be set from the common preferences options in the file menu.
