I feel that the moderators here are the best I have seen on any board. Most would simply lock a thread and tell everyone to shut the hell up, I have no idea what you are all complaining about. We are all lucky to have such skilled moderators. I am going to school to be an animator, and that takes work, so I know they EARNED whatever status they may have. These people are all very good, so what if they are not better than Pascal or whatever. My dad told me once that there is ALWAYS someone better, and that is why you have to try your best always. Anyway I just want to apologize to the moderators for all the disrespect you are getting, maintaing a board and modeling and everything else you must do is tedious and I am ashamed to be among these disrespectful heathens. -Jeremy- :hmm:

Just found this thread after 3 days offline [gasp!]
Lil after reading through I was about to mention that - sometimes it goes the other way. I must admit Iām excited by the fact Matt and Pascal are on this challenge again, seeing what they do is great, but I donāt think itāll ever be like the first - where we (crappier) peeps could get responses back - thatās what made it really exciting.
Thanks a bunch for the thumbnails too - canāt wait for the new site.
Anywoo - about the fanboy stuff a quick PM and an addition to the FAQās might server beter than deleted posts which P people off like no other. Just somthing like -
"Hey []
I admire your ethusiasm when responding to [], but it would be appriciated if you made your comments with constructive critism in mind. It will help keep the threads more professional and focused.

A form letter in other words- click pm, click the form and send - nothing to it. Just for those more obtrussive comments - not the simple support.

[I]I donāt have may replies on my challenge thread, and I would hope to get more just for the crits from those artists that I respect on this forumā¦ but I donāt piss and moan about it.
I think the whole concept here is to learn. This is the first challenge Iāve taken part in. I value the crits both good and bad. Obviously, everyone likes an ego stroke with a āWowā, or āAmazingā, but I know I prefer actual honest crits.
I can pretty much guarantee you that the mods (when they get time to join the challenges), and strong artists like Pascal, Matt, Fellah, etcā¦ would rather hear honest crits, than pages of āpraiseā.
Weāre all here to learnā¦ and even the stronger artists will admit it. I check out their work to guage where Iām at technically and design-wiseā¦ and it helps me better my skills. If I have an idea or am really struck by the concept, Iāll voice it, if I donāt I wonāt waste their time.
Itās already been said, and Iāll say it againā¦ just because you donāt get crits doesnāt mean your concept is bad, it just means the style youāve used may not be for everyone.

I just update as much as possible and hope I get replies. If I donāt, no big deal Iāll just keep updating and maybe Iāll get a comment or two. As soon as I do something that is good enough that people canāt ignore Iāll get replies and that will be that. Iām not gonna complain that Iāmnot getting replies.
Basically people should just suck it up. This is supposed to be fun.
