don’t give up on it guys! i still think this is the best cg forum in terms of the mix of poeple on it… everyone form newbies through to hollywood sfx, games designers, illustrators, etc… we have kinda hammered the server so it’s only to be expected that it’s a victim of it’s own success… i just hope that people don’t desert because of this, as that would be a real shame. CGTalk Server Rollback
Firstly I just wanted to mention to Aaron Moore that the image link he posted shows up as garbled text in Mozilla (and I assume other ‘flavours’ of Netscape)

It’s a good idea, no doubt… but after doing a little web design and working to conform to cross-compatibility, I get annoyed when people use a technology that doesn’t work outside of IE :thumbsdow
Also, regarding jeroentje’s comment… He didn’t mean getting rid of inline attachment altogether, (yeas, that would be rather ludicrous) but just no longer hosting them on cgtalk’s servers (which they do out of the kindness of their heart.)
I don’t know what it’s like in other countries, but in Australia most ISP’s give you free webspace (usually 5 or 10 meg) with your account. I have two accounts with two different ISP’s that both give me 10mb :xtreme: so if you’re not sure, contact you’re ISP’s helpdesk and they should be able to point you in the right direction.
Regarless, with this news of vBulletin 3.0 storing images separte to the DB, there really should be no more issues once it’s implemented.
Edit: Grammar.
