I’d say to most of you, don’t worry about the rendering as much as these guys did, I feel like this makes you feel like you’ll never get that much done in that amount of time. Think more fx, these winners didn’t spend most of the time of the fx parts, they spent it on rendering and modeling. If you want this for your reel the fx are what you want to look good, not the lighting and rendering.

P.S> realise that it is SO easy to get side tracked on your own project, I know I’ve had/have a lot… focus on whats not iumportant, you’ll spend all this time making the crash key framed juuuust so and then the fx are weak. Just get to the fx as fast as possible, second in importance is camera work/animation (case in point the best overall last time), better to have cool fx in the end and bad modeling, bad animation, bad lighting, bad textureing… it’s called FXWARS. Lets-get-it-OOON!

Anyone have a good pic for a texture of a grandstand full of people? I’ve been searching the web and have not found what I’m looking for yet.

What I’m looking for is an image that shows a section of bleachers full of people from a straight-on view, and I’d like to have an image with good resolution to it. Then I want to break it up into layers by manually breaking out the rows to get a nice paralax effect as the cars zoom by.

yea, I’ve been doing lots of searches and have not found what I’m looking for yet. Of the ones you listed, the only one that is close to what I am looking for is this one http://www.gold-cup.com/photos/04/mabry/IMG_2045.jpg or maybe the first one, but I’m hoping to find a much more detailed shot of the crowd if possible (better resolution, better focus). I’ve got one already that is barely acceptable but was hoping maybe someone had seen something else.
