Wow, what a strong challenge—
I am not really very< sim-literate so I can only give my very subjective opinion:
All entries are really impressing.
Mmme_Sadies entry is the visually most impressing, but lacks the nice details like trees being hit or the hoese that Yann & ACantarel have.
ACantarels sim is very impressive, too.
but somehow seems too fast & not as heavy as Yanns.
I would vote:
Best Simulation: Yann
Best Animation: Yann
Best overall: Mdme Sadie

It’s been already said here: mdme_sadie has a impressive avalanche, but I missed that house/trees details. One thing that I really liked about his animation was the film grain. It makes his entry more reallistic.

The reason for the winner’s entry is that it looks very photorealistic, just like a real shot, the others are too CG feel, so the winner is:

The only thing that was bad in Yanns entry was the fact that the snowclouds just froze in mid air… If they hadnt stopped but shrunk (?) towards the ground it would have been top ace!
Cantarel’s was really good, but the strange start took down the overall appearance. It was a really good one after the start though.
